stituent companies who refuse to make such exchange
and to secure to such st ckholders the fair value of
their said stock, and shall prescribe such other terms
and conditions for the management of said consolida-
ted correlation as maybe thought proper; and the
said consolidated corporation is hereby authorized to
mortgage its property and franchise to secure nego-
tiable bonds to an amount not exceeding its au-
thorized capital stock, as fixed by said agreement, or
as afterwards increased in the manner provided in
Article 23, section 165, of the Public General Laws of
Maryland.
Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the said Baltimore,
Hampden and Lake Roland Railroad Company shall
be liable to the payment of the "Park Tax," and
shall not charge the passengers more than five cents
for each continuous ride over its said road, and shall
have the power, and is hereby authorized to construct
a single or double track road, commencing at the in-
tersection of North avenue and Park street, so as to
correct with the tracks used, or to be used by the
North Avenue Railroad Company of Baltimore
citA ; thence north along Oak street to Fourth
street or Shirk street; thence west on Fourth street
to Hampden avenue (or street), thence north
on Hampton avenue to Fifth or Sumeralt street; thence
west on Fifth street three hundred feet, more or less,
to the intersection of said Fifth street with right of
way described in a deed from Hugh Sisson et al., to
the Baltimore, Hampden and Lake Roland Railroad
Company, which deed is recorded among the Land
Records of Baltimore city, in Liber J. B., No. 1368,
folio 287; thence northerly along said right of way
described in said deed and over such private property
as said Baltimore, Hampden and Lake Roland Rail-
road Company shall acquire by purchase or condemna-
tion, to Cedar avenue; thence northerly along Cedar
avenue to Merryman's Lane; thence westerly along
Merryman's Lane to Roland avenue; thence northerly
along Roland avenue crossing Lake avenue; thence
northerly and westerly to the property owned by
Richar McGill, described in a deed dated August
761 1886, recorded among the Land Records of Balti-
more county in Liber E. H. A., No. 59, folio 123, over
