On motion of Mr. Thompson,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore City Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal section
726, of Article 41, of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Police," and to
re enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Sellman,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize the
Comptroller to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer
to pay to the Westminster Water Company $37,52,
being State taxes erroneously paid the Treasurer of
Carroll county and by him paid into the Treasury of
the State of Maryland.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Carroll County Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to provide for the em-
ployment at hard labor of certain classes of prisoners
in the jail of Carroll county, and to repeal chapter 39,
of the Public Local Laws of Carroll county, and
all other Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent herewith,
so far as they relate to Carroll county.
On motion of Mr. Moore,
Leave was granted to the Wicomico County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 2, Article 23, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
entitled "Wicomico County," sub-title "Birds and.
Game," and re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Michaels,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to prohibit certain
corporations operating in Garrett county, from paying
their employees otherwise than in legal tender money
of the United States.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
Mr. Sams introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to refund to Thomas H.
Harrison, late collector of State taxes for Calvert
county, a sum of money erroneously paid by him into
the Treasury.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Claims.
