On motion of Mr. Collins,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled, an Act to repeal sec-
tion 6, of Article 17, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Clerks of Courts," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Wooters,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal
section 124, Article 81, of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, volume 2, and re-enact the same
with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Garner,
Leave was granted to the St. Mary's Delegation and
Mr. Leonard to introduce a bill entitled an Act
authorizing and empowering the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Mary's county to levy a sum
of money for the purpose of building a school house
for white children in the fourth election district of
said county.
On motion of Mr. Combs,
Leave was granted to the St. Mary's Delegation and
Mr. Leonard to introduce a bill entitled an Act for
the better protection of game in St. Mary's county.
On motion of Mr. Sappington, of Anne Arundel,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel County
Delegation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to pro-
hibit persons, other than residents of Anne Arundel
county, from fishing with seine or net of any kind
within the waters of Marley creek and Furnace creek.
On motion of Mr. Hutchins,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel County
Delegation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to
authorize and empower William B. Chairs, Franklin
Chairs, Isaac Friedenwald, Thomas C. Chappelle,
John B. Wentz and Elias Stallings, to construct a
bridge over Curtis creek, now commonly called "Curtis
Bay."
On motion of Mr. Lane,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to refund to Thomas
H. Harrison, late collector State taxes for Calvert
county, a sum of money erroneously paid by him into
the Treasury of the State.
