The Speaker laid before the House depositions in
the contested election cases in Calvert county, Mary-
land, on the part of the contestant in case of B. B. D.
Bond vs. T. B. Turner.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Elections.
Also named the following changes in the Standing
Committees:
Mr. Franklin in place of Mr. Bittinger, on Commit-
tee on Agriculture, and Mr. Bittinger in place of Mr.
Franklin, on Committee on Federal Relations.
Also, in accordance with an order of the House, of
January 19th, appointed a special committee on ven-
tilation of State House, consisting of Messrs. Mon-
monier, Leeds and Sams.
Mr. Brennan presented a petition from the Mary-
land College of Pharmacy, asking for an appropria-
tion.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.
Mr. Bryan presented a petition from John T. Nor-
man, Wm. P. Thompson and others, asking the pas-
sage of an Act authorizing the County Commissioners
of Queen Anne's county to grant an annual pension
to Greenberry T. Baxter.
Which was read, and referred to the Queen Anne's
Delegation.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. McSherry, it was
Ordered, That Messrs Biggs and Sappington, of
Frederick, be excused from to-day's session, on ac-
count of business.
On motion of Mr. Orrick, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Monmonier be excused from
attendance upon the House to-day.
On motion of Mr McSherry, it was
Ordered, That the Folders of this House be, and
they are hereby directed to fold a sufficient number
of the Journals of each day's proceedings and deliver
