Mr. Berret presented a petition from Henry C.
Roche, A. P. Woods and many others, praying
an appropriation for the Ladies1 Aid Association of
the Maryland Homeopathic Free Dispensary and
Hospital.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.
Mr. Hayward presented a petition from many citi-
zens against the passage of an Act appointing State or
County Civil Engineer Supervisor of Roads in.
Harford county.
Which was read, and referred to the Harford
County Delegation.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Maddox, is was
Ordered, That Mr. Carrico be excused from to-
night's session, on account of pressing business.
On motion of Mr. Carr, it was
Ordered, That Messrs. Bowie, of Baltimore city,
Cornthwaite, Walz, O'Conor, Sanders, Fuld and
Frincke be excused from attendance on this night's
session.
On motion of Mr. Smith, it was
Ordered, That Messrs. Miles and Meredith be ex-
cused from attendance upon to-night's session.
On motion of Mr. Gaver, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Sappington, of Frederick, be ex-
cused from to-night's session.
On motion of Mr. Grove, of Cecil, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Kirk be excused from to-night's
session, on account of business.
On motion of Mr. Lane, it was
Oidered, That Mr. Ireland be excused from to-
night's session, on account of sickness.
On motion of Mr. Bryan, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Bryan be excused from non-at-
tendance on Thursday evening and Friday's session
of last week, on account of business.
