PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.
Mr. Bryan presented a petition from Lemuel W.
Ashby and 59 other citizens, in favor of the passage
of an Act for the better protection of fish in Chester
River, in Queen Anne's county.
Which was read, and referred to the Queen Anne's
County Delegation.
Mr. Collins presented a petition from Jas. M. Leon-
ard, R. J. Dawson and 30 other farmers, asking for
the passage of an Act authorizing the State to pur-
chase the interest of private stockholders in the Mary-
land Agricultural College.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Agriculture.
