On motion of Mr. Shafer,
Leave was granted to the Washington County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to provide
for the numbers and terms of the County Commis-
sioners of Washington county.

Mr. Gallagher introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to secure the bene-
fits of care and medical and surgical treatment to
indigent, deserving persons of this State, and to ap-
propriate a sum of money therefor.
Also, introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comp-
troller and Treasurer of the State of Maryland to audit
the claims of Oscar Ruckle and others, for money
erroneously paid to the State of Maryland.
Which were severally read a first time, and referred
to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Moore introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to refund to William S.
Gordy, late collector of taxes for Wicomico county, a
certain sum of money erroneously paid by him into
the Treasury.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Claims.
Mr. Sams introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to establish a Board of
Gas and Electric Light Commibbioners.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
Mr. McSherry introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section B, of
Article 55. of the Code of Public (General Laws, and
re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time, ana referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Sappington, of Anne Arundel, introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 2, of chapter 382, of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1890, entitled an Act to
regulate the measurement of peas, beans and other
farm products.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Inspections.
