title "Brokers," relating to stock brokers.
4 With recommendation that said bill be referred
to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Bill so referred.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit any corpora-
tion which under the laws of this State shall act as
trustees, executors, administrators, &c., as fully as a
natural person, without bond or security, other than
its own obligations, from incurring the liability of a
security upon any bond.
With proposed amendments.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Strike out all after the words "A bill," and insert
in lieu thereof the following:
"Entitled an Act to prohibit any corporation which
under the laws of this State shall act as security on
on any bond, from acting as trustees, executors, ad-
ministrators, guardian, committee or receiver, or in
any one or more of those capacities, without bond or
security other than its own obligation, in any case
where bond is required from a natural person.
Sec. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this
Act no corporation which, under the laws of this
State, shall act as surety on any bond, shall act
as trustee, executor, administrator, guardian, com-
mittee or receiver, or in any one or more of those-
capacities, without bond or security other than its
own obligation in any case where bond is required
from a natural person, and all Acts and parts of Acts
whether general or special, inconsistent herewith, be
and the same are hereby repealed.
Which were severally read and adopted.
Said bill was then, on motion, made the Order of the
Day for March 10th, 1 P. M.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 249, of
Article 93, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Testamentary Law," sub title "Orphans? Court,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
