SECOND ORDER OF THE DAY.
The House immediately proceeded to consider the,
second Order of the Day, being
House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Treasurer
of Baltimore county to give bond with corporate se-
curity.
On motion of Mr. Orrick,
Further consideration postponed, and made the
Order of the Day for Wednesday, March 9th, at 1 P. M.
THIRD ORDER OF THE DAY.
The House, at 1 P. M., considered the third Order
of the Day, being
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 41, of
Article 39, of the Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled "Fish and Fisheries," sub-title "Potomac," in
so far as the same relates to black bass, and to re-
enact the same, and to add thereto four additional
sections after section 47 of said Article, for the pur-
pose of more fully protecting fresh water black bass
in the waters of Maryland.
Mr. McSherry submitted the following proposed
amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In section 46 A, line 15, after the word "bass," in-
sert "in the waters of the said Potomac above the said
Little Fails."
Also,
In section 46 A, line 17, strike out all after the words
"during the" down to the words "months," in line 18.
Also,
In section 46 A, line 18, after the word "of," insert
"June."
Also,
In line 26, after the word " State," insert "except
the waters of the Monocacy River and its tributaries."
