Mr. Bevard submitted the following proposed
amendment to the amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
After the words "Frederick county," insert "Har-
ford county."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Sams submitted the following proposed amend-
ment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In section 2, strike out all after the word "county."
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Berret, from the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to refund to John H.
Miles, late Collector of State taxes for the Third Col-
lection District of Somerset county, certain moneys
paid by him into the State Treasury.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act for the relief of the sure-
ties upon the official bonds of Stevenson Archer, late
Treasurer of Maryland, and for the settlement of the
litigation on said bonds.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for the support of the Co-operative Workers of
Baltimore city.
Which were severally read a second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claims of Wm. L. Pfeiffer and George
