tional sections to Article (4) four, of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title
"Police."
On motion of Mr. Carr,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore City Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 341, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, and re-enact the same with amend-
ments, and to add additional sections thereto,
to be known as "Sections 341 A and 341 B."
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Washington county,
Leave was granted to the Washington County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to sanction
and make valid a bequest of Nancy Camel, late of
Washington county, deceased, to Manor Church of
the Tunker demonination, and also a bequest from
said Nancy Camel to the Methodist Episcoi al Church
situated in the town of Sharpsburg, Washington
county, Maryland.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize the
Cumberland Valley Railroad Company to connect
with Chesapeake and Ohio Canal at or near Powell's
Bend, where its railroad bridge crosses said Canal and
the Potomac river.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Washington County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize
and require the County Commissioners of Washing-
ton county to refund to Martin L. Byers, Benj. P.
Reuch, Samuel Poffenberger and Benj. F. Eshleman
certain moneys paid by them as endorsers for Geo.
W. Pole, late Collector of State and county taxes for
said county.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Washington County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize
the County Commissioners of Washington county to
issue bonds for building a schoolhouse in Hagerstown,
in Election District No. 21, in said county, and to
levy a tax for the payment of the same.
