upon the official bonds of Stevenson Archer, late
Treasurer of Maryland, and for the settlement of the
litigation on said bonds.
On motion of Mr. Sams,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to add other
sections, providing for the review by the courts of dis-
puted assessments to Article 26, of the Code of Public
General Laws, title "Courts," to follow section 41 of
such title.
On motion of Mr. Gallagher,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to license
and regulate the business of money lending on chattel
mortgages and bills of sale by chattel brokers.
On motion of Mr. Combs,
Leave was granted to the St. Mary's County Delega-
tion and Mr. Ireland to introduce a bill entitled an
Act regulating the number, terms, sessions and com-
pensation of the County Commissioners for St. Mary's
county.
Also,
Leave was granted to the St. Mary's County Dele-
gation and Mr. Lane to introduce a bill entitled an
Act regulating the compensation of Jurors, Bailiffs,
Crier and Messenger to the Circuit Court for St.
Mary's county.
On motion of Mr. Green,
Leave was granted to the Somerset County Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act authorizing
and directing H. Fillmore Lankford, Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Somerset county, to refund to
George M. France the sum of forty-eight dollars, for
alleged violation of the local oyster law of Somerset
county, in the State of Maryland.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments sections 152 and 166, of
chapter 538, of the Laws of Maryland, for 1890, in so
far as they relate to Somerset county.
