House bill entitled an Act to carry into effect sec-
tion 1, of Article 7, of the Constitution of Maryland,
so far as the same relates to Carroll county, and to
repeal section 18, of Article 7, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title ''Carroll County," sub-title "County
Commissioners.''
Also, favorably, from a Select Committee,
House bill entitled an Act to sanction the bequest
contained in the last will and testament of Savilla
Bankert, late of Carroll county, Maryland, deceased.,
to the trustees of Saint Matthew's congregation of
Pleasant Valley, of said county and State.
Mr. Haines, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to add additional sec-
tions to Article 7, Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Carroll County," sub-title "Roads," to be desig-
nated as sections 139, 140, 141, 142, 143 and 144.
Mr. Anderson, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act authorizing and directing
H. Fillmore Frankford, Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Somerset county, to refund illegal fines paid for
alleged violations of the local oyster laws for said
county,
