Mr, Hill introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 79, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Crimes," sub-title "Jurisdiction, Pro-
cedure and Sentence," said section to regulate the
fixing of bail in criminal cases, and to come iu after
section 290 of said Article, and to be known as sec-
tion 290 A.
Which were severally read a first time, and referred
to the Committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Cornthwaite introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claim of Eugene E. Graunau, agent
of the State of Maryland, appointed under authority
of law to serve a requisition upon the Governor of
Ohio, in the case of State of Maryland vs. John
Yeakle.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Claims.
Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Board of Public Works to build three new sailing
vessels for the State Fishery Force, and to sell three
old sloops.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Sams introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to amend section 5, of
Article 4, of section 8 of Article 4, of section 9 of
Article 4, and part 4, sections 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32,
33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, of Article 4, and part 5 of
sections 40 and 41, of Article 4, of the Constitution of
the State.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Amendments to the Constitution.
Mr. Carter introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to extend the time during
which passenger cars may be heated by stoves.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations,
