On motion of Mr. Sams,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Constitu-
tional Amendments to introduce a bill entitled an Act
to amend section 5, Article 4, section 8, Article 4, sec-
tion 9, Article 4, section 11, Article 4 and part of sec-
tions 27 to 39, of Article 4, and part 5, section 40 and
41, Article 4, of Constitution of this State,
On motion of Mr. Kirk,
Leave was granted to the Cecil County Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 60,
of Article 77, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Public Education," sub title "Text Books," so far
as the same relates to Cecil county, and to re-enact
the same with amendments, so as to provide for the
free use of books in the public schools of Cecil
county.
On motion of Mr. Deen,
Leave was granted to the Caroline County Delega-
tion and Mr. Smith, to introduce a bill entitled an Act
to authorize the Governor to appoint an additional
Justice of the Peace for Caroline county.
On motion of Mr. McSherry,
Leave was granted to the Frederick County Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize
and empower the Town Council of Brunswick, Fred-
erick county, to issue bonds or certificates of indebt-
edness to be designated as "Judgment Bonds,'' to an
amount not exceeding $20,000.
On motion of Mr. Sterling,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corpora-
tions to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal cer-
tain sections of the Code of Public Local Laws, Arti-
cle 20., titled "Somerset County," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Carr,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore City Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal section
338, of Article 4, of the Code of Local Laws, title
"Baltimore City."
