Mr. Thompson presented a petition from Theodore
F. Wilson, Joshua Register, and 101 other members
of the Business Men's Association of East Baltimore,
and the Merchants and Manufactures Association, on
same subject, in favor of same.
Mr. Frincke presented a petition from John T.
Ford, Lloyd L. Jackson, Chas. H. Shipley, and 80
other members of the West Baltimore Improvement
Association of Baltimore city, on same subject, in
favor of same.
Mr. Monmonier presented a petition from A. H.
Rutherford, Chas. D. Lee, the Roland Park Company,
and other persons of North Baltimore, on same subject,
in favor of same.
Mr. Sams presented a petition from Klepper Web-
ster & Co., J. Seth Hopkins & Co., and 101 other
members of the Tax Payers Association of Baltimore
city, on same subject, in favor of same.
Which were severally read, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

Mr. Gaver presented a petition from John B. Davis
and 37 other citizens of Frederick county, in oppo-
sition to the passage of House bill preventing the sale
of spirituous and fermented liquors within one mile of
Fountain Mills.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.
Mr. Leonard presented a petition from Joseph
Brown, Sr., and 35 other citizens of Talbot county,
against the repeal of the Local Option Law and against
high license for said county.
Which was read, and referred to the Talbot County
Delegation.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Sams, it was
Ordered, That the use of the Chamber of the House
of Delegates, from 6 to 7.45 P. M., on Tuesday next,
be given to a committee from the oysters packer of
Baltimore, to present their views on the oyster culling
laws.
