House bill entitled an Act to establish a State Board
of Agriculture and Statistics, and prescribe the duties
thereof, and to repeal Article 89, of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws of Maryland, title "Statistics and
Information as to Branches of Industry."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amendments proposed by the Committee on Agri-
culture, to House bill No. 259 (printed No. 72,) entitled
an Act to establish a State Board of Agriculture, &c.
1st. To change the title so it shall read, ''an Act to
establish a State Board of Agriculture and Immigra-
tion, and prescribe the duties thereof."
2nd. In section B, strike out the cause ''mining,
manufactures, transportation, commerce, labor and
wages and."
3rd, In section 6, insert the word "and," between
the words "physical and agricultural," and strikeout
the words "and industrial." and also the words
"various industries of the."
4th. Strike out "section 12," (already enacted by
another bill.)
5th. Make section 13, to be numbered 12.

On motion, further consideration postponed, and
made the Order of the Day for Friday, February 26th,
at 12.30 P. M.
Mr. Gallagher, from the Committee on Inspections,
reported unfavorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 197, of Article 1, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Allegany County,"
sub-title "Mine Inspection."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Collins, from the Committee on Agriculture,
reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1 and
2, of Article 61, of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled "Manures and Fertilizers," as amended by the
Acts of 190, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
