PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.
Mr. Wooters presented a petition from W. S. Eas-
ter, Saml. A. Harper, Joshua G. Wrightson and 160
oth r citizens of the Second Election District of Tal-
bot county, asking the passage of a high license
law for said district.
Mr. Collins presented a petition from Rev. J. Harvey
Chester, O. T. Fairbank and 90 other citizens of
Second District of Talbot county, opposing the pas-
sage of a high license law for said district.
Which were severally read, and referred to the
Talbot County Delegation.
Mr. Sams presented a petition from the Booth
Packing Company and other packers, in favor of the
passage of a general culling Law.
Also presented a petition from Martin Wagner &
Co., and others on same subject, in favor of same.
Also presented a petition from Hebe Smith and 50
others of Baltimore city, asking relief from oppressive
telephone charges.
Which were read, and referred to the Committee on
Corporations.
Mr. Grove, of Frederick, presented a petition from
Rufus Day and 18 other citizens of New Market Dis-
trict, of Frederick county, asking for the passage of a
local option law within two miles of Fountain Mills,
in said county.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.
Mr. Collins presented a petition from J. W.
Bridges, B. F. Wamsley, W. H. Haddaway and 65
others, citizens of Oxford, praying for the passage of
a law requiring all persons engaged in tonging oysters
to take out a personal license.
