On motion of Mr. Anderson, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Green be excused on account of
business.
On motion of Mr. Hill, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Bowie be excused from attend-
ance on to-night's session.
LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. Sellman,
Leave was granted to the Carroll County Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to regulate the sale
and the granting of licenses for the sale of spirituous
and fermented liquors in Carroll county.
On motion of Mr. Laird,
Leave was granted to the Montgomery County
Delegation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to
authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Montgomery county to levy a sum of money to re-
fund to Samuel Riggs, of R., of said county, the
amount of taxes paid in error.
On motion of Mr. Leonard,
Leave was granted to the Talbot County Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to change the
boundary line between Trappe Election District and
Easton Election District, in Talbot county.
On motion of Mr. Brashears,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel County
Delegation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to re-
peal sections one, ten, twenty and twenty-three, of
Article two, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Anne Arundel County,' sub-title "Almshouse," and
to re-enact said sections one and ten with amend-
ments.
On motion of Mr. Gaver,
Leave was granted to the Frederick County Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to incorporate
"The Home for the Aged of Frederick City."
Mr. Laird presented the report of the Permanent
Library Committee on the disbursement of the fund
for the augmentation of the State Library.
