PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.
Mr. Grove, of Cecil, presented a petition from the
officers of Cecil County Grange, praying for the estab-
lishment of a State Board of Agriculture.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Agriculture.
Mr. Laird presented a petition from John W. Hor-
ner and 13 other citizens of Montgomery county, pray-
ing the passage of a law to authorize the State to
purchase the interest of private stockholders in the
Maryland Agricultural College.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. McSherry, it was
Ordered, That House bill entitled an Act to add
additional sections to Article 11, of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title "Frederick County," sub-title
"Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks," be printed.
