Which was read and adopted, and on motion, was
ordered spread upon the journal, and the Chief Clerk
instructed to mail a certified copy of order to the
Attorney-General of the State.
Mr. Collins presented a petition from John S. Ham-
bleton and 200 others, men and women of St. Michaels
district, Talbot county, praying for the passage of an
Act to prevent the sale of cider in less quantity than
one barrel at a time.
Which was read, and referred to the Talbot County
Delegation.
Mr. Haines presented a petition from David Rinehart
and 20 other citizens of Carroll county, in favor of the
State purchasing the private stockholders interest in
the Maryland Agricultural College.
Which was read and referred to Committee on
Ways and Means.
Mr. Griffith presented a petition from A. L. Bolin-
ger and 93 other citizens of Montgomery county, in
opposition to any change being made in the term of
County Commissioners of said county.
Which was read, and referred to the Montgomery
County Delegation.
Mr. Grove, of Frederick, presented a petition from
S. F. Yingling and 89 others to prohibit the sale of
spirituous and fermented liquors within two and one-
3ialf miles from Sugar Loaf School House in No. 7
Election District of Frederick county.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.
Mr. Franklin presented a petition from Isaac I.
Davis and 180 other citizens of Worcester county,
asking the passage of a cull law for Synepuxent Bay,
in said county.
Which was read, and referred to the Worcester
County Delegation.
Mr. Carter presented a petition from the Nursery
and Childs' Hospital of Baltimore city, asking for
$5,000 appropriation by the State of Maryland.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
"Ways and Means.
