a sum of money paid into the Treasury.

Mr. Carr introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to amend chapter 284, of
the Acts of 1882, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Baltimore and Lake Roland Railroad Company.
Which was read a first time, and" referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
Mr. Fockler introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 19 and 42, of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Public Education."
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Education.
Mr. McSherry introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 27, of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Crimes and Punishments," by adding a new sub-title
to be known as "Bawdy Houses of Ill Fame," and to
add a new section to be known as "Section 16 A."

Committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Carter introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to further amend an Act
entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore Passen-
ger Railway Company, and to enable the said company
to create capital stock and distribute the same among
shareholders.
