Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Sams introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to prevent the importa-
tion and sale of diseased or maimed animals and un-
wholesome articles of food, and to provide for the
inspection thereof.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Hygiene.
Mr. Joyce introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Treasurer
of the State of Maryland to pay to Peter Fehler a sum
of money paid by him. to the Clerk of the Criminal
Court of Baltimore city.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 8 and 11, of Article 23, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Corporations."
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
Mr. Fitzgerald introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to give the assent of the
General Assembly of Maryland to the sale and grant
of Nicholas M. Smith to the Trustees of Aushe Sphard
Hebrew Congregation of Baltimore city.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to give the assent of the
General Assembly of Maryland to the sale by the
Vestry of Saint Stephen's Church of Baltimore to the
Trustees of the Emanah Hebrew Congregation of Bal-
more city, of all that lot of ground, with the improve-
ments thereon, situate at the corner of Hanover street
and Welcome alley, in the city of Baltimore.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Trus-
tees of the McDonogh School.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Education.
