Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 573, of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Baltimore City," sub-title "Jail," and to
re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. McSherry,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to pay Chas.
F. Rowe, late collector of State taxes, a sum of money
erroneously paid into the Treasury.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
Mr. Sams introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 20 and
20 A, of Article 72, Code of Public General Laws,
title "Oysters," and to re-enact in lieu thereof a law
requiring oysters taken in Maryland to be culled upon
their natural beds or bars, and to prevent the sale of
oysters less than two and one-half inches from the
hinge to mouth.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Frincke introduced.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact
with amendments section 1, of chapter 91, of the Acts
of 1890, title ''Licenses," sub-title "Traders."
Which was lead a first time, and referred to
the Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Gallagher introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to regulate the use of
telephones in Baltimore city and fixing the charges
thereof.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore City
Delegation.
Mr. McSherry introduced,
