Which was read, and referred to the Prince George's
County Delegation.
Mr. Grove, of Frederick, presented the petition of
Col. John B. Thomas, James F. Beall and 56 other
citizens of Frederick county, praying the passage of a
law prohibiting the sale of liquor within a radius of
three miles from Forest Grove Church, in Buckeys-
town District, in said county.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee oft
Temperance.
Mr. Field presented a petition from 7,000 citizens of
Baltimore city, in favor of the passage of an act
now pending before the General Assembly to amend
the Sunday law.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
the Judiciary.

ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Joyce, it was
Ordered, That the Committee on Corporations be
excused at one o'clock from to-day's session, in order
to resume hearing of arguments upon the North
Avenue Electric Railroad Bill.
On motion of Mr. Barber, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Buckey be excused from this
weeks sessions, on account of death in his family.
On motion of Mr, Anderson, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Green be excused from Monday
night's session and to-day's session, on account of the
death of a relative
On motion of Mr. Hayman, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Franklin be excused from at-
tendance on last night and to-day's session of the
House.
On motion o± Mr. Smith, of Washington, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Garrett be excused from to-day's
session, on account of important business.
