the passage of an Act to authorize the purchase by the
State of the interest of private stockholders in the
Agricultural College.

Patrons of ^Husbandry, on same subject, in favor of

Mr. Collins presented a petition from Col. F. A.
Benson, Edward Woodall and other citizens of Talbot
county, on same subject, and in favor of same.

Mr. Sams presented a petition from C. L. Wicks
and 30 others, for a relief from the oppressive de-
mands of Telephone company.

Gladden and 49 others, praying for a stock law for
Bock creek, Somerset county.
Which was read, and referred to the Somerset
County Delegation.
Mr. McSherry presented a petition from W. Y.
Worman and 13 other citizens of Frederick county,
praying for the passage of an Act to protect the farm-
ers from trespassing on private property with dog
or gun.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
the Judiciary.
Mr. Hill presented a petition of numerous citizens
of Prince George's county, asking for a bill authoriz-
ing the County Commissioners of said county to pur-
chase the Upper Marlboro and Washington City Turn
pike.
