PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.
Mr. Carter presented a petition from the Home for
Incurables of Baltimore city, asking an appropriation
of $5,000 therefor by the State of Maryland.
Also one from the St. Vincent's Infant Asylum of
Baltimore, asking for an appropriation of $5,000, for
the years J893 and 1894, by the State of Maryland.
Which were severally read, and referred to Com-
mittee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Collins presented a petition from Hon. Jas.
Alfred Pearce and 100 other citizens of Kent county,
praying for the passage of an Act to establish the
manufacture of binder twine in the State Peniten-
tiary.
