House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
sectipn 1, Article 76, of the Code of Public General
Laws, with amendments.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 19, of
Article 9, Public General Laws, title "Attachments,"
and to re-enact the same.
Mr. Sellman, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to pay Ross Compton,
late Collector of Taxes for Garrett county, the amount
of money over-paid by him into the State Treasury
for 1888 and 1889.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Louis H. Relin $122.75, as commission
on money collected by him as Collector and Treasurer
of the city of Annapolis.
Mr. Collins, from the Committee on Agriculture, re-
ported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to establish the manu-
facture of binder twine, cord, rope, &c , in the Mary-
land Penitentiary.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to establish a State
Board of Agriculture and Statistics, and prescribe
the duties thereof, and to repeal Article 89, of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Statistics and Information as to Branches of In-
dustry."
Which were severally read a first time.
Mr. Carter, from theCommittee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the pro-
cedure in prosecutions for cruelty to animals.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
"The President and Directors of the Firemen's In-
surance Company of Baltimore," a body corporate,
originally incorporated by the Act of the General
