LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. Sams,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries to introduce a bill en-
titled an Act to repeal section 41, of Article 39, of the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Fish and
Fisheries," sub-title "Potomac," in so far as the same
relates to black bass, and to re enact the same, and to
add thereto four additional sections after section 47
of said Article, for the purpose of more fully protect-
ing fresh water black bass in the waters of Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Collins,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to provide
for the general assessment of property in this State.
On motion of Mr. Anderson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to refund to John H.
Giles, late Collector of State Taxes for the Second
Collection District of Somerset county, certain moneys
paid by him into the Treasury of the State.
