pointment of a Joint Select Committee of five, two on
the part of the Senate and three on the part of the
House, to investigate and report to the General As-
sembly the proceedings of the Board of Visitors and
Governors of St. John's College, and the condition of
that institution in accordance with Resolution No.
41, of the General Assembly of 1832, and concur
therein.

Mr. Carter moved a suspension of the rules, in order
to allow the Committee on Judiciary to report
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, section 653 B, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title
"Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," as enacted by
chapter 343 of the Acts of 1890
The rules were suspended, (two thirds of all the
members-elect voting in the affirmative,) by yeas and
nays, as follows:
