Mr. Schlaffer presented a petition from John I. Yel-
lott and other citizens, asking the Legislature to in-

County Delegation.
Mr. Sams presented a petition from Wm. H. Love
and 50 others, requesting the passage of an Act rela-
tive to the catching of Black Bass.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.
Mr. Hamilton presented a petition from John T.
Ingraham and 105 other citizens of Baltimore county,
asking for the passage of an Act prohibiting pool-
selling in Baltimore county.
Which was read, and referred to the Baltimore
County Delegation.

ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Grove, of Cecil county, it w.as
Ordered, That tke Speaker be and he is hereby
authorized to appoint one person as Gas Engineer, to
work the air fans of this House, and while not on duty
to assist the folders.
On motion of Mr. Smith, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Meredith be excused from at-
tendance on sessions of last night and to-day, on
account of sickness.
On motion of Mr. Hayman, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Franklin be excused from to-day's
session, on account of important business.
On motion of Mr. Gaver, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Sappington, of Frederick, be ex-
cused from to-day's session, on account of sickness.
On motion of Mr. Laird, it was
Ordered, That Messrs. Griffith and Canby be ex-
cused from to-day's session, on account of sickness.
