Strong, Wilson, Brashears, Donaldson, Sappington, of
Anne Arundel, Ireland, Lane, Carrico, Orrick, Elliott,
Hamilton, Jr., Collins, Wooters, Leonard, Anderson,
Sterling, Meredith, Kirk, Grove, of Cecil, Bowie, of
Prince George's, Hill, Bryan, Wall en, Godwin, Frank-
lin, Hayman, McSherry, Bevard, Hayward, Stoaans,
Deen, Johnson, Thompson, Fuld, Fitzgerald, Fox,
Field, Bowie, of Baltimore city, O'Conor, Gill, Sams.
Sanders, Frincke, Cornthwaite, Smith, of Washington,
Shafer, Laird, Canby, Buckey, Young. Hosken, Sr ,
Haines, Ellegood, Moore—56.
Mr. Laird submitted the following, viz:
Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on
Claims pay to the Southern Electic Company seventy
one dollars ($71), for wire guards, &c., said accounts
having been approved by the Governor, and being for
necessary work for the use of the General Assembly.
Which was read and adopted, by yeas and nays, us
follows:

Sappington, of Anne Arundel, Ireland, Orrick, Pole.

of Prince George's, Hill, Perrie, Wallen, Godwin.
Hayman, McSherry, Grove, of Frederick, Deen, John-
son, Thompson, Fuld, Fitzgerald, Brennan, Carter,
Bowie, of Balto, city, Gallagher, Gill, Sam's, Carr,
Cornthwaite, Joyce, Laird, Griffith, Barber, Hosken,
Sr., Bittinger, Michaels—49.
NEGATIVE.—None.
Mr. Carter submitted the following order, viz :
Ordered, That Dr. E. P. Duvall, Librarian, be paid
by the Chairman of the Committee on Claims forty
dollars, for two Codes mislaid or lost by the House of
Delegates, and for which he is personally responsible
to the State.
Which was read, and adopted by yeas and nays, as
follows:
