Which motion prevailed.
On motion, the vote by which the Senate amend-
ment was adopted, was reconsidered.
Said bill, on motion, was re-commiited to the Som-
erset County Delegation.
Mr. McSherry moved to suspend the rules, in order
to introduce the following, viz. :
Leave to the Committee on Ways andMeans to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to appropriate a certain
sum of money to meet the expenses of an extra session
of the Senate of Maryland, to confirm certain Execu-
tive appointments.
The rules were suspended (two-thirds of all the
members elect voting in the affirmative) by yeas und
nays, as follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.—Messrs. Speaker, Combs, Strong,
Wilson, Brashears, Donaldson, Hutchins, Sappington,
of Anne Arundel, Carrico, Maddox, Hamilton, Jr.,
Collins, Leonard, Anderson. Sterling, Meredith,

Bowie, of Prince George's, Perrie, Bryan, Godwin,
Wilkinson, Hayman, McSlierry, Gaver, Grove, of
Frederick, Sappington, of Frederick. Bevard, Hay-
ward, Deen, Johnson. Thompson, Brennan, Fox, Car-
ter, Field, Bowie, of Baltimore city, Gallagher, Sams,

Fockler, Shafer, Barber, Young, Hosken, Sr., Stottle-

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
Mr. McSherry introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to meet the expenses of an extra session of the
Senate of Maryland to confirm certain appointments.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. McSherry moved to suspend the rules, in order
