Mr. Fockler, from Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Burgess
and Commissioners of Hancock, Washington county,
to issue bonds for improving, draining and lighting
the streets of Hancock, Washington county
Which was read a second time.
Also, favorably, from Select Committee,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section '236, of Article 22, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Washington
County," sub-title "Hancock."
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Barber, from Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to grant additional cor-
porate powers to the Cumberland Loan and Spring
Association.
Which, on motion, was placed on the third reading
file.
BILLS—SECOND READING.
House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the granting
of license for the sale of spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer at any place within one half mile
in any direction from the town of Brunswick, in Fred-
erick county, Maryland.
Which was read a second time.
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
House bill entitled an Act to empower the County
Commissioners of Prince George's county to levy a
sum of money for the building of a school house for
white children near Hyde's store, in the Fourth Elec-
tion District of Prince George's county.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to enable the University
Club of Baltimore to issue bonds for the purchase and
improvement of its club building.
Severally endorsed : "Read the third time, and
passed by yeas and nays."
