Road Congress, or convention, composed of delegates
from the several States of the Union, soon to be held
in the city of Pittsburg, in the State of Pennsylvania,
and to appropriate a sum of money to defray the
personal expenses of said delegates.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Washington county,
Leave was granted to the Washington County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal
sections 161 and 162, of Article 22, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, entitled "Washington County,"
sub-title "Hagerstown," and to re-enact the following
in lieu thereof, in amending and revising the charter
of Hagerstown, and in providing for the government
thereof, and to add new and additional sections to
Article 22. of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Washington County," sub title "Hagerstown."
On motion of Mr. Hill,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled ran Act to pay T.
Lee Mattingly and others named in said bill for unpaid
services rendered the State Tobacco Warehouse No.
2, for year 1890.
On motion of Mr. McSherry,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to add an additional
section to Article 33, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Chancery," sub-title "Pleading, Practice
Process," to be designated as section 186 A.
On motion of Mr. Bryan,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal section
165, of Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled "Crimes and Punishments," and re-enact the
same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Haines,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Temperance
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to enable the quali-
fied voters of the Fourth election district of Carroll
county, known as Woolery's district, to determine by
ballot whether or not spirituous, fermented or
alcoholic liquors or bitters shall be sold in said elec-
tion district.
