On motion of Mr. Laird,
The vote by which House bill (printed No. 4,)
known as the "Eastern Shore Senatorial Law," was
ordered engrossed for a third reading on the 27th,
was reconsidered.
Mr. Laird then moved to place said bill on second
reading file.
Which motion prevailed.
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following:
Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit the use of ex-
plosives in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its
Tributaries, as a means of taking or catching fish.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 234, of
Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Receiving
Stolen Goods, Money or Securities," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to change the mode of
appointing the Treasurer of Garrett county.
Which was read a first time, and referred to Garrett
County Delegation and Mr. Young.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to make valid and amend
the charter of the Port Deposit Electric Light Com-
pany of Cecil county.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
