ing five additional sections thereto, to follow section
217 thereof, and to be known as sections 217A, 217 B,
217 C, 217 D, and 217 E, so as to provide for the in-
corporation of congregations of the Roman Catholic
Church in the counties of Cecil, Talbot, Kent, Queen
Anne's, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset and
Woccester, in conformity with the peculiar discipline
and practice of the said church.
On motion by Mr. Brashears,
Leave was granted to the Committe on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 5,
of Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Adultery,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Carr,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to refund to
the officers of the Fifth Regiment Infantry, Mary
land National Guard, the amount of pay for the State
encampment near Frederick, Maryland, in July, 1889,
which was given by them to the Governor of this State,
for the purpose of enabling him to send said regiment
to the celebration of the Centennial of the adoption
of the Constitution of the United States, in the city
of New York, in May, 1889.
On motion of Mr. Laws,
Leave was granted to the Wicomico County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act regulating
the election and term of office of the County Commis-
sioners of Wicomico county.
On motion of Mr. Wooters,
Leave was granted to the Talbot County Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal and re
enact with amendments Article 21, section 23, of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, for Talbot
county, sub-title "Game."
Also,
Leave was granted to the Talbot County Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize and
empower the County Commissioners of Talbot county
to direct the Sheriff of said county, that all male per-
sons, physically qualified to perform manual labor,
