enact with amendments section 197, of Article 1, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Allegany
County," sub-title "Mine Inspector,"
On mo ion of Mr. Smith, of Washington,
Leave was granted to the Washington County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to empower
the Commissioners of Washington county to call in
certain bonds of said county, and issue other bonds.
On motion of Mr. Garner,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to provide
for an additional police sloop to protect the waters in
St. Mary's county, St. Mary's River and Brittain's
Bay.
On motion of Mr. Bittinger,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to refund to Ross
Compton, late Collector of Taxes for Garrett county,
the sum of $63.64, the amount overpaid into the Treas-
ury of the State of Maryland, for taxes for the years
1888 and 1889.
On motion of Mr. Leonard,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to prevent de-
ception and fraud, by proclaiming, or publishing
fraudulent or false pedigrees or records of stallions,
and to protect such owners or agents in the collection
of fees for services of such stallions, and to prevent
the entering of trotting horses out of their classes.
On motion of Mr. Haines,
Leave was granted to the Carroll County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments section 16, of Article
7, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Carroll
County," sub-title "Circuit Court,"
On motion of Mr. Miles,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments section 2, of Article 30, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Officers' Fees."
