On motion of Mr. Wooters, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Lane be excused from attendance
in this House during the session of Friday and last
night, owing to sickness and death in his family.
On motion of Mr. Elliott, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Cole be excused from attend-
ance, on account of sickness.
On motion of Mr. Smith, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Miles be excused for non-atten-
dance upon last night's session, on account of im-
portant business.
On motion of Mr. Sappington, of Frederick, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Grove, of Frederick, be excused
from to-day's session on account of important business.
On motion of Mr. McShery, it was
Ordered, That inasmuch as Mr. Biggs is seriously
ill, he is hereby excused from attendance at the
sessions of this House until he recovers.
On motion of Mr. Canby, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Griffith be excused from to-day's
session, on account of important business.
On motion of Mr. Cornthwaite, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Sanders be excused from to-day's
session, on account of business.
On motion of Mr. Wilkinson, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Franklin be excused from atten-
dance on last night's and today's sessions, on account
of sickness.
LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. Laird,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to sanction
the bequest of three hundred dollars, by Alien Bowie
Davis, late of Montgomery county, deceased, to the
Savings Institution of Sandy Spring, Maryland, in
trust for the Vestry of St. John's Church, Mechanics-
ville.
