wealth of Baltimore, that a committee consisting oi
ten members be appointed to take into consideration
such measures as have been presented before the
present Maryland Legislature, supporting the best
features of a new assessment law.
Which was read, and ordered spread upon the
Journal.
Mr. Field submitted the following' order, viz. :
Ordered, That the further consideration of the
message to non-concur in the Senate amendments be
made the special order for next Tuesday, at 1 o'clock,
P. M.
Mr. Meredith moved the previous question.
The question being,
"Shall the main question be now put."
It was decided in the affirmative.
The question then being on the adoption of the
order as submitted bv Mr. Field,
Mr Carter demanded the yeas and nays.
The demand was sustained.
