Mr. Haines submitted the following proposed amend-
ment :

On page 3, line 2, strike out "forty" and insert
" thirty."
Which was rejected.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
House bill entitled an Act making appropriations
lor the support of the State Government for the fiscal
year ending on the 30th day of September, 1894.
Mr. Berret submitted the following proposed amend-
ments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In section 3, strike out the words "two thousand
five hundred dollars" wherever it occurs in section
and insert the words ''three thousand dollars."
After the word "typewriter," in line 5 of "Con-
tingent Fund" and insert as follows: "And three
hundred dollars to pay the salary of John R. Sulli-
van, janitor of the House of Delegates.
