Mr. Sappington, of Frederick, introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 187, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Crimes and
Punishments," sub-title "Gunning," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

Committee on the Judicary.
Mr. Brashears introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to make valid the mar-
riage between Wm. H. Stewart and Elizabeth Austin.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Berret. from the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay E. P. Duvall, State Librarian, moneys
spent for boxes, expressage, storage and shipping
Poe's Code.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Sams, from the Committee on Education, re-
ported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to create a commission to
inquire into the distribution of the State School Tax,
and to make a report to the next General Assembly of
Maryland.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Carter, from the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported back to the House,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 138, of
Article 20, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Somerset County," sub-title "Liquor and Intoxi-
cating Drinks," as amended by chapter 257, of the
Acts passed at January Session, 1890, so far as only
the same applies to Princess Anne District No. 1,
therein mentioned, and to enact the following in lieu
thereof to apply to Princess Anne District No. 1 only,
With recommendation that said bill be referred to
the Somerset County Delegation.
