The House resumed i s session at 8 P. M.
Present at the call of the roll the following mem-

Prince George's, Hill, Perrie, Bryan, Wallen, God-

of Frederick, Bevard, Stearns, Deen, Johnson,
Thompson, Carter, Field, Bowie, of Baltimore city,
Gill, Sams, Sanders, Frincke, Cair. Cornthwaite,

On motion of Mr. Carter the House took a recess
until 8.45, to allow an address to the House by Hon.
F. C. Latrobe and others, members of the World's
Columbian Exposition Committee, in favor of the
passage of Senate bill (No. 9) now pending before the
House, making an appropriation for the World's Fair
The House resumed session at 9.45.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Sams, it was
Ordered, That House Bill No. 240, known as the
Tele phone Bill, be made the special Order of the Day
on Thursday, the 24th instant, at 2 P. M.
