liquor, beer, wine, cider as beverage, within one mile
of Calvary Evangelical Luthern Church of Newport,
near Woodbine, Carroll county, Maryland.
Which was read, and referred to the Carroll County
Delegation.
Mr. Stearns presented a petition of Geo. Wonders
and 410 other citizens of Harford county, asking the
resubmission of the question of high license for the
sale of spirituous and fermented liquors in said
county.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.
Mr. Johnson presented a petition from Theo. F.
Johnson and 79 other citizens of Caroline county,
asking" for a free bridge over the Choptank river,
near Williston.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Roads and Highways.
Mr. Bryan presented the petition of Wm. F. Ford
and 50 others against the passage cf an Act to au
thorize the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
county or individual or corporation to erect or cause
to be erected wharves at the public landings in Chester
river.
Which was read, and referred to the Queen Anne's
County Delegation.
Also,
Presented a petition from C. P. B. Mitchell and 75
others, against the repeal of the present fish law in
Queen Anne's county.
Which was read, and referred to the Queen Anne's
County Delegation.
Also,
Presented the petition of W. W. Wilson and 60
others, against the passage of an Act to license houses
of ill-fame.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.
Mr. Wallen presented a petition from Etta T.
Wilson and 30 others, against the passage of any
legislation looking to the extension of the opium and
alcoholic habits.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.
