NO. 11.


Joint resolution authorizing the Attorney General to


employ counsel to assist him in the defense of William


Marsh, a citizen of Maryland, now held by the authorities


of Virginia for trial for alleged violation of the oyster laws


of the said State of Virginia.


WHEREAS, under the compact between the States of Mary-

he is a citizen ; and


WHEREAS, on or about the fifth day of January eighteen
