" Oysters," to be designated as section 188 A, and section 188


B, and to read as follows :.


188 A. Any resident of Anne Arundel County desiring to


use any canoe or other boat in catching, or taking oysters

the waters of Severn River, nor in any creek, cove, arm or


inlet of Severn River in said county, above a line drawn in


a northeasterly direction from the wharf of the United States

for the period of two years from the first day of September


1892, and provided further that all such licenses shall be


granted in the same manner and upon the same terms and


conditions as provided in article seventy-two of the Code of


Public General Laws of Maryland, title " Oysters," sub-title


"Tonging."

as provided in the preceding section, he shall, upon convic-


tion thereof before any justice of the peace of said county,


or in the Circuit Court for said county, be fined not less than


twenty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, and in


case of refusing to pay said fine, and cost of prosecution, the


said party shall be confined in the Maryland House of Cor-


rection for three months ; and in all cases under this section


the accused shall have a right of appeal from the justice of


the peace to the Circuit Court for the said county, provided
