CHAPTER 671.


AN ACT to reimburse certain money paid into the State


treasury by George B. Oswald, clerk of the Circuit Court


for Washington County, received from Philip Funk, of


said county.


WHEREAS, Philip Funk of Washington County, Mary-


land, did on the first day of October, A. D. 1886, take out

and have issued to him by the clerk of the Circuit Court for


Washington County an oyster house license for one year,


from the first day of October, A. D. 1886, till the first day


of October, A. D. 1887, for which license he paid to the


clerk of the Circuit Court for Washington County the sum


of fifty dollars, which said money was paid by the said clerk


into the State treasury ;


AND WHEREAS, by reasons of the enactment of chapter


248, acts of 1886, known as the "High License Law" for


Washington County, the said Philip Funk was compelled to

close business on the first day of May, A. D. 1887, and could


no longer follow the business for which said license had been


issued to him and for which he had paid the said fifty dollars


as aforesaid, thereby losing the benefit of said license for


five months ; now, therefore,


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
