SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the corporation hereby


formed shall have power, and is hereby authorized to con-

struct, lay and operate a railway or transportation road from


Annapolis to Bay Ridge and Friendship in Anne Arundel


County, through, over and along any of the streets of Annap-


olis and roads of Anne Arundel County, and also to erect


lines of wires and lay pipes or tubes for using and supplying


of electricity, electrical currents and power for the purpose

of propelling cars upon said railway and for all other pur-

poses to which electricity or magnetism may be applied,

either above or below ground, in pipes or otherwise, over

under or along the streets, lanes roads, public highways,

and Bridges and alleys of the city of Annapolis, and the

county of Anne Arundel, and to that end to lay pipes,

tubes, wires, conductors and insulators, and to construct

poles and posts etc., and to construct, maiutaiu, remove and

replace, and repair from time to time, all such lines, pipes

and appliances, and also to extend said railway or branches

thereof to other places within the limits of said county of

Anne Arundel ; provided, however, that all such construc-

tions shall be done with the permission and consent of and

under the general supervision of the city council of Annap-

olis City and the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel

County, or their agents, if within the limits of their respec-


tive jurisdiction.


SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the board of directors

regulations, not inconsistent with law, for the management


of the affairs of said corporation as they may deem expedi-


ent, and shall also appoint and employ such officers, agents


and servants as they deem proper for the construction,


preservations and repairing of said lines of railway and


property, and for the transaction of all other business of


said corporation, with full power to fix their compensation


and to remove them at pleasure.
