to said stock, and that it shall be the duty of the board of


directors, through its president or agent, to make such


demand or erasure of such names in case of default in such


payment as aforesaid, at any time after fifty shares of said


stock shall have been subscribed upon the books of said


corporation if they deem it proper to do so.


SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act

CHAPTER 600.


AN ACT to prohibit the use of any boat, canoe or vessel in


taking or catching crabs with scoop, scrape or dredge in


the waters of the Great Choptank River.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any person or per-

sons to use any boat, canoe or vessel in taking or catching


crabs with scoop, scrape, drag or dredge in the waters of


the Great Choptank River in the State of Maryland.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person or persons

violating the provisions of this act shall, upon conviction


before a justice of the peace of this State, be fined in a sum of


not less than ten nor more than twenty-five dollars for each


and every offence, one-half of which fine shall go to the


informer, and the other half to the public school fund of


Dorchester County if the offender is tried and convicted in


said county, or to the public school fund of Talbot County,


if the offender is tried and convicted in said Talbot County.
