CHAPTER 584.
|
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to authorize aud empower the County Commis-
|
|
|
|
|
sioners of Prince George's County to purchase from the
|
|
|
|
|
stockholders of the District of Columbia and Upper
|
|
|
|
|
Marlboro' Turnpike Company all the property and the
|
|
|
|
|
rights, privileges and franchises of said corporation to be
|
|
|
|
|
used as one of the public roads of said county.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
|
|
|
|
land, That the County Commissioners of Prince George's
|
|
|
|
|
County be and they are hereby authorized, empowered and
|

directed to purchase from the stockholders of the District
|
purchase
turnpike.
|
|
|
|
of Columbia and Upper Marlboro' Turnpike Company, all
|
|
|
|
|
the property and the rights, privileges and franchises of
|
|
|
|
|
said corporation, aud to take a deed tor the same, the same
|
|
|
|
|
to be held and used by said county as one of the public
|
|
|
|
|
roads of said county, and subject to all the laws now in
|
|
|
|
|
force in said county relating to public roads provided the
|
|
|
|
|
sum to be paid for said turnpike, shall not exceed the sum
|
|
|
|
|
of ten thousand dollars ; and said sum of money shall be
|
|
|
|
|
paid out of the proceeds of the sale of the bonds of said
|
|
|
|
|
county, authorized to be issued by act of the present General
|
|
|
|
|
Assembly.
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|

CHAPTER 585.

|
AN ACT to prohibit the granting of licenses for the sale of

|
|
|
|
spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer at any place
|
|
|
|
|
within one-half mile in every direction from the town of
|
|
|
|
|
Brunswick in Frederick County, Maryland.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That hereafter it shall not be lawful for the clerk.
|
Prohibiting
|
|
|
|
of the Circuit Court for Frederick County to issue licenses
|
sale of
|
|
|
|
to any person or persons, to sell spirituous or fermented
|
liquor in
and near
|
|
|
|
liquors or lager beer, at any place nearer than one-half mile
|
Brunswick.
|
|
|
|
in any direction from the corporate limits of the town of
|
|
|
|
|
Brunswick in Frederick County, State of Maryland.
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|
|
|
|
|
from the date of its passage.
